I just became aware of the website of a retired NYPD detective, Joe Giacalone. I don’t know the guy and have only taken a quick look so far, but he has a number of posts about cold case investigation.
Also, a quick update on the Baby Hope case, from a New York Times article last week.

Thanks for including my site on yours. I was the CO of the Bx Cold Case Squad for a awhile before retiring out of the Chief of D’s in 2012. Say hi to Wendell.

Hey Stacy. Just read your article about Joe G. He’s a very nice man. Didn’t know if I was goning to like him at first but he’s a sharp competent guy. I left before he got there but I only heard good things about him. When are we having b’fast? See you soon.
